May long weekend, what a great time to get out of town and get some much-needed rest.
We decided last minute to book a weekend getaway at Mont Tremblant in Quebec and stayed at the Ermitage Du Lac located in the heart of the Tremblant Village. In 2010 my wife and visited this same hotel for our Honeymoon and thought we would try it again and we were NOT disappointed.
Upon arrival, we were treated with great respect and provided a fast and speedy check in and provided a free (always great to hear the word free) upgrade to a 1 bedroom suite. Upon arriving in the room we were astonished to find the quality of room and upkeep was impeccable.
Room: we had a chance to review all rooms, and they extremely spacious with great access to the kitchenette or fully functional kitchen depending on the room choice. For reducing our overall cost we decided to use the kitchen daily for dinner prep (all pots + pans + Plates were provided) Rooms have a full pull out couch (king or queen). The bed was very comfy along with the many pillows to choose from.
I can not express how happy we were with the room, how comfy it was and the incredible views we had. The 2 +3 bedrooms were very spacious and offered more than enough for the full family. In rooms, there was lots of storage for personal effects and items.
Breakfast: one of few resorts at Tremblant that offer full morning breakfast. Everything you need to have a healthy breakfast from cereal + Bagels/bread + Yogurts + Fresh Fruit and MUCH much More.
Grounds: As I have already said the grounds were amazing. The Pool is a great size for the hotel and the hot tub is very spacious. Pools staff was incredible and kept the pool warm and clean.
Staff: Always a concern with Quebec is my ability to communicate in French, I have never had an issue with customer service in this area and this hotel in specific has an amazing, caring and kind staff. They did everything they could to ensure our stay was the best possible.
Why Tremblant?:
Located 1:45 min from Ottawa and Montreal and 6 hours from GTA, not a far drive at all for a unique village with great shops and lots of activities for Kids, Families, and couples. Activities include Hiking + Biking + Running ( a lot of access to paths) shopping + Sightseeing + Gondola rides + Luge ( bobsledding) swimming and much more. They have ample parks for kids and free kids activities (face painting + Balloon animals and kids “camps” in the summer. We have traveled here once a year for the past 8 years with our kids because they love the area and all they can do.
Once again I highly suggest taking the time to travel and visit Mont Tremblant.
